Sacred Cannabis….A blissful ceremony in a tipi with amazing shamans, deep healing medicine and wonderful ancient chants & people.

We will dive deep in the realms of our hearts and minds all along the sacred chants of India. You are invited to open up your voice on a deep level. The Blue Lions are both high class musicians as shamans who are very well gifted in guiding ceremonies to a deep meditative level.
The sacred raw cannabisdrink (vegan, organic) is made according to a ancient recipe from their tradition of the nihang sikhs in India. It is full of ayurvedic herbs that all have a special balancing effect.
A full hearted, soothing and blissful medicine.
The ceremony will take place at a very special location; a beautiful tipi , with warm fire all night, located at a natural lush green spot.

The ceremony will consist of: opening prayer, round of sharing & intentions, preparing the medicine together, pranayama, ragas (indian classical music) to open the chakra’s, chanting, closing prayer, round of sharing , soup.
Who wants can stay over the night, next morning we’ll have fruit and tea.
( only 15 participants )

Cannabis

Cannabis has been described in the Vedics as a holy herb and has been used for centuries for religious use, medicinal use and also practical use. This sacred plant has numerous applications and it is only since the thirties last century that this plant has been banned. One of the biggest mistakes made in history of medicine. Cannabis has been with humanity since the beginning of times and it is time for her resurrection.
The use of raw cannabis (non-decarboxylated) is right now a hot topic in the research of the medicinal use of the plant. THC-A has many unknown benefits, like very strong tumor reducing effects.
In the tradition of the Nihang Sikhs a sacred brew is made with special tools, sacred chants, special herbs and has a very very deeply healing effect on body, mind and soul.
In this ceremony we will make the drink together and learn about it’s healing benefits while we are pouring positive energy into the brew.

Mehmet Polat

He is an accomplished ud player, composer, ensemble leader and soloist who tours internationally. From Africa to India, Persia to the Balkans, Contemporary to Jazz, he has been combining various musical genres with his Alevi Spiritual, Anatolian Folk and Ottoman classical music background. Through his improvisations, compositions and his own take on a variety of musical styles, Mehmet is constantly searching for new musical paths and inspiration. After many years of research, he invented his own technique to advance beyond the limitations of his traditional instrument. With this new left hand technique, he can play more advanced and modern pieces. He has also designed an ud with two extra bass strings to broaden the range and function of his instrument. Mehmet has been based in Amsterdam since 2007.

Blue Lions Music

Music therapy can provide a deep vibrational sound which nourishes the spine, nervous system, organs and cells of the listener and can bring harmony between the mind and body. The ‘Ragas‘ of Indian Classical Music in particular, are believed to have a profound effect on the body’s energy field. Ragas are thought to be charged with Prana/Chi and help regenerate and restore the body’s original energy-balance. The Blue Lions will start with instrumental music and then sing a platter of different Ragas and compositions before beginning the chanting. They will be playing traditional instruments like the ‘Taus’ which is a very rare ancient instrument specifically designed by the Sixth Sikh Guru, Hargobind for this type of music. They will be joined on the Indian Drums by one of Europe’s leading Tabla Players, Heiko Dijker, who lives in Amsterdam. Come and meditate or just sit back, relax and enjoy the musical journey!

Mantra Chanting

Chanting is a deeply inspiring practice that opens the heart to devotion and Bhakti. It calms the mind and helps us to release blockages allowing us to experience the freedom within and allows the body to heal. There is a deep wisdom within the vibration of these Sikh Mantras and each individual has his or her own unique experience of grace. Chanting replenishes the soul and unites us with one another and is the perfect way to experience the joy of singing in a group. There will also be explanations of the different Mantra,
Kirtan, Bhajan, Spiritual Chants and what effect they will have on the chakras and the psyche.
